Ideas for my Digital Media Campaign
Bath Christmas Market
To promote my event I would use the social networking sites Facebook and Twitter. I would make a Facebook page, add photographs and information about the event. I would use Facebook because of its cost-effectiveness and how it attracts a larger target audience.
Twitter: would be a good way to promote my event as it would be good for adding quick tweets about my events if I was really busy.
Website: I would also think about creating a website for this event. I would add my own images and write information about what the Bath Christmas has to offer.

1) Advertising campaigns that rely on social media
- UK rolls out 'share a coke' campaign with personal names on bottles and cans.
2) Celebrity endorsements that utilise social media
- Jennifer Lawrence's New Dior Ads.
- Uses Dior Facebook page to advertise.
- It was also advertised on Twitter.

The Bath Christmas Market was advertised using Facebook and Twitter. It's Facebook page had 21.4K likes and on Twitter it had 2,538 followers. It also had its own website.
Other events that were similar to the Bath Christmas Market are Bath on Ice, Bath Film Festival and the Bath Artisan Market. These three events were promoted using Twitter and Facebook. The Bath Artisan Market had 1,014 likes on Facebook and the Twitter page had 3,429 followers.Bath on Ice also had its own website.

Social Media Platforms
I use Facebook to keep in touch with friends so I use it as a social outlet. It is a very interesting way to communicate with people and you can also use it to promote businesses.I have a page for my photography and I believe this lets me showcase my skill.
I have a personal tumblr account and I use it to put photographs I find interesting and look for inspiration. It can also be used for business purposes as I see some people advertise products that they wish to sell on this blogging site.
I use Instagram to post pictures and look at photographs as well. It is used to express thoughts and images of what people like and things they enjoy.
I have not used twitter in ages but the last time I did I checked what was being tweeted about and checked what I had last tweeted.
